Abstract

In contemporary educational practice, the importance of soft skills is increasing for personal growth, professional formation, and successful performance of professional responsibilities. In conditions of constant transformation of the educational process, especially considering digitalization and remote learning, online learning courses allow to integrate process of development soft skills into practice of professional training, making it more interactive, adaptive, and personalized. This article reveals experience in developing soft skills for future elementary school teachers and preschool educators as part of their personal and professional formation. Actualized necessity of developing of soft skills of future educators in line with educational and professional standards. Considered, how specific technological tools and functionalities of online learning courses help to develop soft skills of higher education students. Main generalization given based on the results of studying theoretical sources, professional standards, empirical research, and personal experience of providing psychological and pedagogical support for professional development of students of higher pedagogical education. Based on statistical data from a Google survey of students specializing in "Preschool Education" and "Primary Education," were identified relevant for them soft skills of modern educators, that allow to perform labor functions. Attention focused on developing soft skills for implementation of innovations and realization of educational standards in primary schools and preschools: critical and systemic thinking, risk assessment and decision-making, problem-solving and collaboration with various groups of people, self-education and digital skills, as well as verbally and written communication in Ukrainian. The article highlights tested productive technological practices for developing soft skills in higher education students through the use of online courses, which are developed considering the stages of psychological and pedagogical support of personal and professional development of future teachers: motivational-cognitive, constructive-active, reflective-predictive, and value-identification
