Abstract

The aim of this research is to comprehensively examine the provision of military-technical and military-political assistance by the Republic of Poland to Ukraine during the period from 2022 to 2024. The article explores the process of organizing support and receiving weapons and military equipment, which are crucial for understanding Ukraine's resilience. The Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine has highlighted the necessity of alliances and partnerships within the frameworks of global and regional politics. It has been established that neighboring states within the same region inherently perceive threats to their interests and security, shaping inter-state relations through the lens of preventing and repelling third-country aggression. The study reveals that threatened states form a critical link in the chain of military-political phenomena and operations, building an effective mechanism to counter a state whose military is equipped with nuclear weapons. The research methodology is based on the principles of objectivity, comprehensiveness, systematicity, and historicism. Through the use of general scientific and specialized methods—such as generalization, analysis, and synthesis—the specificity of military assistance from the Republic of Poland to Ukraine during 2022-2024 is substantiated. A holistic representation was achieved using the retrospective method. The application of systemic analysis facilitated the identification of the main directions and prospects for cooperation. The scientific novelty of the research lies in its examination of relations between neighboring states through the lens of hybrid and open aggression threats from a third country. It is emphasized that during 2022-2024, Ukraine received significant military assistance from the Republic of Poland, which substantially strengthened the defense capabilities of Ukraine's Armed Forces. Consequently, in situations where security challenges pose existential threats, convergence and synergy arise between countries vying for regional leadership, enabling changes in power dynamics at both regional and global levels
