Abstract

The article considers the problem of using interactive teaching methods in the classes of the discipline «Media Law». Media law is presented as public relations associated with the use of information tools for transmitting information over long distances through telecommunication channels. Attention is focused on the essential characteristics of media law: a complex sphere of public information relations, a scientific direction in the field of jurisprudence, an academic discipline. The problems of studying media law in higher education institutions of Ukraine are analyzed: the number of higher education institutions that introduce the discipline is limited; textbooks on legal topics do not pay enough attention to the responsibilities of media specialists; the question of the quality of teaching legal disciplines for media education students arises; the introduction of interactive teaching methods into the educational process of professional training of media education students is relevant. The issues of general, professional competencies covering legal aspects in the field of media, future specialists of the specialty 021 «Audiovisual art and production» are emphasized. The main objective of the article is to analyze the features of the use of interactive teaching methods in media law classes. The article characterizes the essence of interactive teaching methods as ways of engaging in action, helping to develop the ability to argue one's views, collaborate in a team, solve problems and make informed decisions. A number of classifications of interactive teaching methods are considered: methods of developing critical thinking, analysis, generalization of facts; methods of forming responsibility; decision-making; methods of developing imagination, emotional sphere; methods of activating activity; paired (cooperative) learning; frontal learning; learning through play; learning through discussion, etc. The article demonstrates the use of interactive teaching methods, in particular, «group work», «take a position», «interview», «decision tree», «case», «carousel», «role-playing game», in classes of applicants for higher education in the specialty «Audiovisual art and production» in the discipline «Media law».
