Abstract
The role of the modern school as a platform for shaping a successful individual in the context of rapid socio-economic and technological changes is explored. The necessity of transforming school education is emphasized, with a focus on developing not only academic knowledge but also key 21st-century competencies—critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and soft skills. Innovative teaching methods are examined, particularly the experience of Finnish education and Montessori approaches, which foster students' independence, responsibility, and emotional resilience. The importance of personalized learning programs and the integration of digital technologies is highlighted to prepare children for the future job market. It is argued that the school should become an environment for the harmonious development of individuals capable of functioning effectively in a constantly changing world.
