Abstract

The article examines the social aspect of the parable of the Prodigal Son through the lens of generational conflict and personal self-discovery. Three key roles—the younger son, the father, and the elder brother—are analyzed as symbols of different social and psychological positions. The study explores how the parable reflects issues of understanding, forgiveness, and justice within the family and society. Special attention is given to the contemporary interpretation of the story in the context of the moral challenges of the 21st century. The conclusions of the article aim to comprehend the biblical text as a source of ethical discourse and social interaction.
