Abstract

At the current stage of transformations taking place in the system of domestic higher education, not only new requirements are outlined, but also new motivational and value guidelines for the professional competence of future vocalist artists. Today, the problem of purposeful definition and substantiation of the pedagogical conditions for the development of professional competence of the students of modern art education, among whom the formation of professional motivation, is of particular importance. Priorities such as self-education, self-development, self-projection become the basis of the modern educational system, therefore, professional and pedagogical activity should be aimed at managing educational processes for the development of individual abilities, and not only at the transmission of knowledge, skills and abilities. Successful acquisition of competencies is unlikely if it is not accompanied by constant self-improvement, self-learning, and self-development. (Bondarenko 2012: 150-154). In the pedagogical encyclopedia, the concept of "motivation" (from the Latin Moveo - I move) is recognized as a system of motives or incentives that motivates people to specific forms of activity. By motives of educational activity, we understand motivation, goal-oriented nature of the student's activity and satisfaction with the process and immediate results. The basis of the motivational approach in working with students is the accuracy of awareness of the future quality result. The motivation of vocal students is closely related to the activation of musical abilities, and is the main psychological and motivational factor in the successful mastery of professional academic vocals. Incentives related to self-development and self-improvement, which have a professional focus, are important for the further professional activity of a singer-artist. A graduate of an educational institution is now not considered a complete professional, but as a person who continues his development, who is capable of self-development.
