Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the formation of subject-practical competence in children of the 5th year of life in joint activities with peers. The relevance of the research problem is outlined. The purpose of the study is determined: to study the features of the formation of subject-practical competence in children of the 5th year of life in joint activities with peers. Previously unresolved parts of the problem under study are highlighted. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of the studied competence are outlined. The content of the fundamental concepts of the study «subject-practical competence of children of the 5th year of life» and «joint activities of children of the 5th year of life» are specified. The basis for determining and implementing the content and features of the formation of subject-practical competence in children of the 5th year of life in joint activities with peers is the State Standard of Preschool Education of Ukraine (2021) and the educational program for children from 2 to 7 years old «Child» (2020). The criteria (cognitive, emotional, behavioral), indicators, and levels of formation of the studied competence were determined. Methods of scientific pedagogical research (interview, observation) were selected, which were implemented at the ascertaining and control stages of the study. The results of experimental and pedagogical activity were summarized, which confirmed the need to develop and conduct the formative stage of the experiment. The content of experimental and pedagogical activity was highlighted on the basis of the implementation of the following pedagogical conditions: ensuring emotionally rich communication of children with adults and peers in various types of activities; creating a pedagogically appropriate educational and developmental environment in the experimental group of a preschool educational institution; forming and improving children's relationships, which helped to organize their constructive interaction, cooperation, and effective communication in various types of joint activities. The features of the formation of children's experience in determining the goal of various types of activity (game, labor, artistic and creative, etc.), planning its achievement, choosing the necessary means and tools for its implementation, observing the sequence of actions, monitoring their results, formulating conclusions about the result obtained, observing safety rules when working with various tools, rational use of materials, careful attitude to labor products, etc. are outlined. The content and features of psychological and pedagogical support for the formation of the studied competence require further study.
