Abstract

The article reveals the impact of the coaching approach on the development of emotional competence and increasing the efficiency of Agile teams. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the importance of integrating coaching practices into team processes to create psychological security, improve the quality of communication, reduce conflict and stimulate innovative thinking. The methodological basis is a secondary analysis of scientific publications, systematic reviews and practical cases of leading international companies, which allowed to identify key tools for coaching support in flexible team environments. The results of the study indicate a positive impact of coaching on emotional awareness, empathy, psychological safety, and team performance. Particular attention is paid to the methods of facilitating retrospectives using powerful questions and metaphorical maps that promote deeper reflection and development of team potential. Practical recommendations for organizing emotional intelligence trainings, regular coaching sessions, facilitation workshops, and master classes on the use of interactive techniques are presented. The article examines the cases of Google, Agile Alliance and IBM, which demonstrate the successful implementation of coaching approaches to strengthen psychological safety, increase employee engagement and resilience to organizational change. In particular, Google’s Project Aristotle study confirmed the crucial role of psychological safety in high-performance teams, which became the basis for the introduction of coaching practices. The Agile Alliance emphasizes the importance of open discussions and facilitation to support team interaction. The IBM case study demonstrates the strategic role of coaching in the Agile transformation process by building trust and developing emotional resilience of employees. To summarize, the article confirms the effectiveness of the coaching approach for developing the emotional competence of Agile teams and emphasizes the need for further research on the adaptation of coaching tools to different organizational contexts. It is proposed to expand the empirical base by analyzing the long-term effects of coaching in agile teams in various business areas, as well as to develop comprehensive coaching programs for the sustainable development of team effectiveness.
