Abstract
The main definitions of the study, namely educational quest and webquest, are defined. The content of webquest technology and its benefits over other information and communications technologies, as well as the structure, stages, and algorithm of its creation and application in pedagogical activity, are considered. An example of using a webquest at a 4th-grade mathematics lesson to familiarize pupils with the topic «Area» is given.
