Abstract

The article presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of studying worldview and artistic trends in general secondary and professional higher education institutions, in particular realism, modernism, postmodernism, and metamodernism. The authors summarize the teaching experience of language teachers in the development of key literary trends in the process of teaching Ukrainian and foreign literature. Common difficulties that arise for students in the perception of abstract theoretical information about worldview and artistic trends are identified, which, in turn, complicates the formation of a holistic understanding of the literary process. Particular attention is paid to the search for effective didactic tools aimed at activating the cognitive activity of participants in the educational process. The authors propose a set of methodological techniques that combine traditional and inno vative approaches: visualization, storytelling, personification of literary trends, use of project technologies, creation of associative models, interpretive dialogues, and research tasks. The article substantiates the pedagogical expediency of using such methods to develop the ability to interpret a work of art as a representative of a certain aesthetic system, as well as to form a holistic aesthetic and worldview vision of literature as an art of words. Particular emphasis is placed on the need to move from reproductive learning of educational material to its comprehension through a creative and research approach. Such a methodology contributes to the formation of reading competence, the development of critical thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, cultural reflection, and the ability of students to make independent literary interpretations in the context of intercultural dialogue. Prospects for further research in the direction of integrating creative pedagogical practices into modern literary education are identified.
