Abstract
The relevance of the presented article is due to a number of objective circumstances, namely: 1) humanistic, student-centered dimensions of higher education; 2) modern challenges of Ukrainian society, which objectively determine a certain transformation of educational priorities, focused on the formation of the ability to build effective empathetic relationships with other people; 3) expanding the professional functionality of the modern teacher, who became responsible for the safety of students, for their maximum possible psychological comfort in war conditions, and for the adaptation of students who had traumatic experiences. The etymology of the concept of "empathy" is considered, its interdisciplinary nature is proven and its philosophical, psychological and pedagogical interpretation is highlighted. It is stated that empathy is considered as a complex multi-component personal construct, as a process and as a property. A definitional analysis of the phenomena of empathy and culture is carried out. The empathetic aspects of professional and pedagogical culture have been proven. It has been stated that an essential component of pedagogical culture is empathetic culture. The essence of the concept of "empathic culture of a future teacher" as a synthetic phenomenon is determined, which assumes the presence of certain personal qualities (emotional sensitivity, understanding, ability to empathize and sympathize); encouraging a person to certain forms of behavior and actions, responding to the state and feelings of another person. The variant of approaches to the structure of empathy was analyzed. The structure of the empathic culture of the future teacher was determined, which contains motivational and value (motives, needs for the implementation of empathy in professional activities, developed empathic position, value attitude towards education seekers, attitude towards their positive acceptance); cognitive-reflective (knowledge of the mechanisms and stages of the empathic process; knowledge of the age and individual characteristics of participants in empathic interaction; knowledge of the results of empathic attachment and empathic action; selfawareness of oneself as an empathic individual and feedback with learners); subjectactivity (empathic activity of the future teacher, the ability to implement various empathic strategies in accordance with modern challenges and predict their results) components.
