Abstract

. The article summarizes own practical experience regarding the specifics of working in a piano class. The main types of activities of a teacher-pianist are considered, namely: organizational - pedagogical; educational - methodological; scientific – research and concert - performance. Special attention is paid to the teaching and methodological activities of the teacher in the special piano class. Three stages of the teacher's work with the student on a musical work are distinguished. The first stage is familiarization with the musical work and its general characteristics. The second stage is accurate reproduction of the musical text of the work. The third stage is artistic interpretation of the musical work. The content of each of the stages is characterized. The teacher's tasks in preparation of the student for concert performance of a musical work are summarized.
