Abstract
The article explores the concept of servant leadership as a new paradigm of leadership in the context of contemporary transformational changes. It reveals the essence of this humanistically oriented approach, which rethinks the leader’s role from that of an authoritarian manager to a mentor, facilitator, and servant focused on the needs and development of employees. This approach responds to the growing demand for effective and flexible management strategies capable of guiding organizations toward greater resilience and innovation. The main issue addressed in the article is the evaluation of the effectiveness of servant leadership compared to traditional management models, as well as identifying ways to successfully implement it within organizational environments. The article analyzes the key characteristics of a servant leader, such as trust, empathy, ethical responsibility, and empowerment of employees which distinguish this approach from hierarchical models. A detailed analysis of these aspects highlights the unique advantages of servant leadership in shaping strong and adaptive organizational cultures. The findings confirm the significant positive impact of servant leadership on increasing employee engagement and motivation, improving corporate culture, encouraging innovation, and enhancing overall productivity. The article also identifies major barriers to implementation such as resistance to change and a lack of trained personnel and provides practical recommendations for overcoming them, including the development of emotional intelligence and mentoring programs. It concludes that servant leadership is a transformational process that fosters the creation of highly effective, cohesive teams and supports the long-term sustainable development of organizations in an ever-changing environment. Thus, the article presents a comprehensive view of servant leadership as a strategic tool for achieving organizational excellence.
