Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the reflection of the post-election information field through headlines in traditional American media, which serve as authoritative instruments of democracy and public oversight. The study is based on the assumption that headlines, as concentrated media texts, reflect key societal moods, narratives, and priorities, especially in times of political turbulence. The article focuses on the post-election period, when passions have somewhat subsided and a single winner remains – a figure expected to consolidate society. However, there remains a residual influence of electoral rhetoric on society after the conclusion of the electoral cycle. Political messages, slogans, and concepts activated during campaigns continue to circulate in the information space, generating lasting communicative effects and influencing the perception of events, individuals, and political processes. At this stage, it is crucial for the media to return to their traditional roles of informing and monitoring without being guided by personal sympathies. The study analyzes materials from traditional mass media, which, despite adhering to journalistic standards and conservative traditions, are increasingly losing their dominant influence in the public sphere, yielding ground to new media. Special attention is given to the 2024 U.S. presidential election, which gained significant importance against the backdrop of escalating global military-political conflicts and internal American challenges. The author considers two key trends: the declining effectiveness of traditional press in shaping citizens’ political orientation and the growing role of emotional context shaped by social media. The article argues for the necessity of understanding democratic influence tools under the new conditions of the information age. The analysis of headlines allows for the identification not only of media intentions and the emotional state of society, but also of the vulnerabilities of modern media culture in the context of political polarization. The findings may serve as a basis for further research in media linguistics and communicative political science
