Abstract
Language, and especially slang, are not static phenomena: something becomes obsolete, something new appears, and everything is constantly changing. Slang is one of the indicators of how language is developing. The study of Japanese slang, in particular 若者言葉 (wakamono kotoba), is key to understanding the current state of the Japanese language. It is used among young people, aged 10 to 30. Special attention in this study would like to pay attention to how slang is used online.
