Abstract

The article is devoted to researching the effectiveness of psychoeducational programsfor vulnerable populations implemented through social media during wartime. Military conflicts create a critical need for large-scale educational interventions to support population mental health, especially among high-risk groups. The theoretical foundations of psychoeducation as a method of mental disorder prevention, its application specifics during war conditions, and the potential of social media as platforms for mass coverage of target audiences are examined. The methodological foundation is based on principles of evidence-based psychology and analysis of international experience in using digital platforms during crisis situations from 2020-2025. The effectiveness of main psychoeducational content formats is analyzed: infographics, video materials, interactive webinars, podcasts, and short educational videos adapted to the specifics of different social platforms. Special attention is paid to vulnerable population groups: internally displaced persons (15% of Ukraine's population), children and adolescents (23% of total affected), elderly people, veterans, and military families. Results of analysis of social media use (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, TikTok) for distributing psychoeducational materials among the Ukrainian population are presented, including experience of channels that reached over 500,000 subscribers. Key effectiveness factors have been identified: cultural adaptation of content, use of target audience language, involvement of opinion leaders and experts, interactivity and feedback. A comprehensive model of psychoeducational support through social media is proposed, including four levels: informational (basic mental health knowledge), educational (self-help techniques), supportive (group interaction), and crisis (rapid response to escalation). The model considers features of different age groups, levels of digital literacy, and specific wartime needs. Research results demonstrate that social media are powerful tools for mass psychoeducation, ensuring rapid dissemination of vital information, formation of mutualsupport communities, and reduction of mental health stigma among vulnerable populations during military conflict.
