Abstract

The article explores the theoretical and practical aspects of strategic leadership and behavioral styles in international business. The relevance of the topic is justified in the context of globalization, digital transformation, and post-pandemic changes, which place increased demands on the managerial competencies and adaptability of leaders. The essence of strategic leadership is explained as the ability to form a long-term vision, ensure innovative development, and maintain organizational stability in a dynamic environment. The main leadership styles (authoritarian, democratic, liberal, transactional, transformational, servant, inclusive, and others) are studied and analyzed from the point of view of their impact on the effectiveness of international companies. Special attention is paid to new trends: the spread of e-leadership in remote and distributed teams, the growing role of cultural intelligence and inclusive practices, and the need to balance strategic foresight with empathy and social responsibility. The cases of Microsoft under Satya Nadella and Tesla under Elon Musk illustrate different models of strategic leadership and their results. A review of current internationalresearch demonstrates that leadership effectiveness is increasingly being measured not only by financial results, but also by innovation, sustainability, employee satisfaction, and compliance with ESG principles. The article emphasizes the need to developan integrated model of strategic leadership that combines strategic competencies with flexible behavioral styles, allowing international companies to increase competitiveness and ensure long-term development.
