Abstract

The translation project consisted of translating and analysing 11 chapters of book Gray Matters: A Biography of Brain Surgery by Theodore Schwartz. A broad range of translation techniques was used to reproduce the author's style and adapt medical terminology, including that related to neurosurgery. In the second chapter of the translation project, we analysed the types of medical and related terminology, in our case criminal terminology, and intertext, reviewed the main translation techniques, and studied the features of modern medical discourse. The translation was carried out in accordance with the classifications of Lucía Molina and Amparo Hurtado Albir.
