Анотація
Fairy tales remain relevant for study because they reflect evolving cultural values, psychological insights, and timeless themes of transformation and wonder. Tzvetan Todorov’s theory of the fantastic (1973) provides a framework for understanding how literature navigates the boundary between the real and the supernatural. According to Todorov, the fantastic emerges in moments of hesitation, where neither the characters nor the reader can determine whether events have a rational explanation or stem from a supernatural cause.
