Abstract

The article highlights the possibilities of using book trailers in the professional training of future primary school teachers to develop their ability to integrate language, literature, and IT components of educational content in accordance with the requirements of the New Ukrainian School. Book trailers are presented as a modern media tool that contributes to the development of the professional competence of future teachers, strengthens their motivation to use innovative technologies in teaching, and fosters creativity, media literacy, and the ability to create an inclusive educational space. A comparative analysis of modern video editors (Animoto, Canva, FlexClip, Powtoon, InShot) is carried out, their technical and pedagogical capabilities are characterized, particular in terms of accessibility, ease of use, variability of templates, tools for visualization and video sound. The educational potential of these programs in the training of future primary school teachers is determined, and the risks associated with technical difficulties, copyright, and the pedagogical appropriateness of content are outlined. The authors present the results of a class with students of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, aimed at developing subject-methodological, information-digital, innovative, and project-based competencies. The students worked in small groups to familiarize themselves with the functionality of video editors, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, create book trailers for children's fiction, and reflect on their experience. It has been found that student participation in the creation of media products contributes to the development of professional readiness to use interactive learning technologies, increases digital literacy, creative self-realization, and the ability to organize student reading activities based on modern approaches. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of an algorithm for creating a book trailer that can be used in the training of students majoring in pedagogy and in the professional activities of primary school teachers.
