Abstract

The article examines the importance of developing speech competence in older preschool children. It is determined that the use of mnemonic techniques represents an effective method for enhancing speech development in preschoolers. Emphasis is placed on the fact that optimizing pedagogical practice and integrating innovative technologies makes the educational process both engaging and productive. Drawing on scientific research and methodological guides, the concepts of “speech,” “speech competence,” and “mnemonics” are defined. It is observed that all contemporary technologies for developing preschoolers’ speech are rooted in traditional methods of early childhood education and upbringing. Based on the State Standard of Preschool Education, the required levels of emotional and value-based attitudes, knowledge, and skills of older preschoolers within the educational domain “Child’s Speech” are outlined. The findings demonstrate that the application of mnemonic strategies has a positive impact on the development of coherent speech, vocabulary enrichment, and memory performance. The article highlights key methods and techniques of mnemonics that contribute to children’s speech development. In addition, a specially designed website containing mnemonic-based methodological materials is presented. This resource functions as an interactive tool for educators, parents, and children, combining traditional teaching methods with innovative opportunities offered by information technologies. The website allows users to access materials in an online format or download them for further offline use. In the future, the resource is planned to be supplemented with interactive exercises. The website “MnemoMaysternya” serves as an innovative educational environment that supports children’s speech development while enhancing the professional competence of educators.
