Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by contemporary social and educational challenges related to the functioning of higher education institutions in conditions of war, social instability, and increased psycho-emotional pressure on students. Experiences of psychological trauma, chronic stress, loss, and forced changes in life circumstances significantly affect students’ learning engagement, motivation, and academic performance, which highlights the need for creating psychologically safe and supportive educational environments. In international academic discourse, the trauma-informed approach is increasingly applied as a framework that accounts for the impact of traumatic experiences on learning and interaction; however, within the national context of higher education, its implementation remains insufficiently systematized. The study identifies a contradiction between the objective need to integrate trauma-informed principles into the educational process of universities and the lack of a holistic understanding of mechanisms for their implementation at the regulatory, institutional, and programmatic levels. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate the trauma-informed approach and to analyze the potential for its implementation in the educational process of a modern university. The practical significance of the master’s thesis lies in the systematization of mechanisms for integrating trauma-informed principles into higher education at different levels of educational organization, which may be used in university management, educational design, teaching practice, and professional training in the field of adult education.
