Abstract
"Opillia" is an authorial digital cultural and local-history journal dedicated to presenting and promoting the ethnographic region of Opillia. The project combines journalism, local history research, design, fieldwork, and multimedia storytelling. The journal features an interactive travel route of 17 locations, historical summaries, cultural and natural landmarks, archival and contemporary photography, and a bilingual format (Ukrainian and English). Its visual identity incorporates botanical symbols typical of the region: thyme, adonis vernalis, and fireweed. The project aims to promote regional cultural heritage, strengthen local identity, enhance tourism development, and provide a modern representation of Opillia. It is already used by tourists, researchers, and local residents and has strong potential for further institutional cooperation and scaling to other ethnographic regions of Ukraine.
