Abstract

In the modern world, characterized by rapid social, economic and technological changes, the ability to effectively interact with other people, make responsible decisions and quickly adapt to new conditions is a key prerequisite for professional success. In this context, the development of leadership qualities is gaining particular relevance in the educational process of universities. Future specialists must not only possess deep specialized knowledge, but also demonstrate the ability to organize and motivate a team, perform managerial functions, and implement innovative approaches in professional activities. The formation of leadership competencies is becoming an important factor in the training of competitive, proactive, responsible and capable of self-development specialists. The purpose of the work is to provide theoretical justification, develop organizational and methodological support for the formation of leadership qualities of a person in a modern university. The scientific novelty of the study lies in clarifying the concept of “leadership” as a multi-component phenomenon that includes cognitive, emotional, and socio-behavioral aspects of personality development. it also reveals the essence of leadership qualities as a set of personal characteristics, behavioral patterns, and social skills that ensure a person's ability to influence others and achieve their goals; the organizational and methodological support for the formation of leadership qualities in students in a modern university is substantiated, which is a multi-level, holistic, and dynamic system of pedagogical influences that integrates various components of personal development: value-motivational, cognitive, practical, and reflective-evaluative; a diagnostic research tool has been developed: criteria (motivational-value, emotional-volitional, cognitive, communicative-activity), indicators, levels of leadership qualities (high, medium, low). The practical significance of the study lies in the development of practical recommendations for the implementation of effective forms and methods of developing leadership qualities in students, which can be adapted and used in various faculties and specialties of modern universities.
