Abstract
The study addresses the issue of forming a healthy lifestyle in second-grade students in the context of contemporary social challenges, in particular martial law, increased psycho-emotional stress, and reduced physical activity among children. The significance of primary school is substantiated as an important environment not only for learning but also for preserving the physical and mental health of younger schoolchildren in accordance with the current legal framework of Ukraine and the principles of the New Ukrainian School. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of using game-based learning technologies in the process of forming a healthy lifestyle among second graders while studying the integrated course “I Explore the World.” The research clarifies the essence of the concepts of “health” and “healthy lifestyle,” analyzes modern pedagogical approaches to their formation in primary education, and determines the didactic potential of game-based technologies and the possibilities of their practical application. The study is based on a комплекс of theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods, which made it possible to assess the level of healthy lifestyle formation in second-grade students and to prove the effectiveness of implementing game-based technologies in the educational process. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of organizational and methodological guidelines for the use of game-based technologies in lessons of the integrated course “I Explore the World” aimed at increasing children’s motivation to preserve and strengthen their own health.
