Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is determined by the reform of Ukrainian education, in particular by the implementation of the New Ukrainian School (NUS). Concept, which prioritizes the development of key competencies of primary school students, which mathematics having a special significance. In the first grade of NUS, the emphasis shifts to a competency-based approach, the integration of educational content, and the development of critical thinking and creativity, which necessitates updating the pedagogical conditions for organizing mathematics instruction. The need to improve teaching methods, forms and tools, taking into account the age characteristics of children and modern educational requirements, determines the topicality of the study. The work substantiates the key definitions of the project and analyzes scientific and methodological literature. The aim of the project is to study the approaches, forms, and methods used by primary school teachers to organize mathematics teaching in Grade 1 as well as to develop a methodological website for primary school teachers, that contains interactive methods, didactic exercises, applications for studying mathematics aimed at the effective organization of mathematics teaching in Grade 1 of the NUS. The practical significance of the master`s qualification project lies in the development of the methodological website «Teacher`s Assistant: Mathematics NUS Grade 1» for primary school teachers, which contains teaching materials for the effective planning and mathematics instruction in Grade 1 of NUS.
