Abstract
The relevance of the study is due to the priority areas of the "New Ukrainian School" reform, which is focused on the competency-based content of education, which involves the formation of auditory skills and abilities in primary school students. The results of scientific research indicate that there are gaps in the development of these speech skills, which require teaching students to listen and understand coherent utterances. This makes the search for innovative and effective ways for teachers to work in Ukrainian language lessons in primary school relevant. The paper substantiates that a modern effective method can be a system of teacher work aimed at teaching listening skills to primary school students. A contradiction is revealed between the need to use innovative methods of forming auditory skills and insufficient methodological substantiation of this process. The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate the content of the teacher's work system for the formation of auditory skills of primary school students and to develop appropriate content and methodological support. The practical significance of the master's qualification research lies in the development of content-methodical support for the formation of auditory skills of primary school students. The author's approach contains developed methodological recommendations for teaching listening in the 2nd grade of primary school.
