Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the significance of early age as a sensitive period for sensory development, which serves as a foundation for the formation of a child’s cognitive activity, thinking, and speech. The results of the ascertaining stage of the research indicate an insufficient level of sensory experience formation in children of the second year of life and the fragmentary use of natural objects in pedagogical practice. This necessitates the search for effective means of enriching sensory experience, among which natural materials occupy a special place. The paper substantiates that manipulations with natural materials can serve as an effective modern tool, providing multichannel sensory stimulation, evoking an emotional response, and contributing to the formation of sensory standards. A contradiction has been revealed between the potential of the natural environment for child development and the insufficient methodological support for its use in preschool education institutions. The purpose of the work is the theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of the effectiveness of using manipulations with natural materials to enrich the sensory experience of children in their second year of life. The practical significance of the Master's project lies in the development of content and methodological support, which includes a complex of games and exercises with natural materials and the creation of a specially organized sensory center. The developed methodological recommendations for educators and parents are aimed at the effective organization of sensory education for young children
