Abstract
The relevance of the studied problem is determined by the presence of contradictions between: - the needs of Ukrainian society to revive its own cultural codes and traditions and the absence of an effective mechanism to implement this demand; - the necessity of applying small forms of folklore in the life activities of young children and the insufficient development of the theoretical and methodological support for this process, particularly in defining pedagogical conditions that promote the development of relevant skills and abilities; - the availability of a wide spectrum of folklore texts of various genres, which are currently preserved, generalized, and published in relevant collections or placed on the internet, and the scarcity of the repertoire of small folklore forms used by educators and parents in interactions with young children. The purpose of the study was to theoretically analyze and practically test the pedagogical conditions for applying small forms of folklore in the life activities of young children. The study analyzes contemporary scientific research and methodological developments on the problem of using small forms of folklore in interactions with young children, characterizes the essence and content of the basic research concepts: "young children," "child's life activities," "folklore," "small forms of folklore," identifies levels of conscious use of small folklore forms in the life activities of young children, and theoretically justifies and experimentally verifies the pedagogical conditions for applying small forms of folklore in the life activities of young children. The practical significance of the master's project lies in the development of the manual "Linguistic Hugs" with methodological, didactic, and video materials on the application of folklore genres in the life activities of young children for parents and educators of preschool institutions. A distinctive feature of the manual is that it outlines situational vectors of adult interaction with young children, contains a clear distinction of small forms of folklore with examples and fragments of life activities for use. If desired, any adult, using this manual, can easily implement and consciously use small forms of folklore in interactions with young children.
