Abstract

The article highlights the problem of borrowing new terms in the professional communication of teachers. It is emphasized that a significant increase in the dynamics of the use of neologisms was caused by the reform of Ukrainian education. For this reason, new pedagogical terms require mandatory understanding and unambiguous perception by teachers of secondary education institutions. The main features of pedagogical terms are determined; the expediency of selecting Ukrainian equivalents for new Anglicisms (Americanisms) is substantiated. It is concluded that while maintaining close cultural, political and socio-economic interaction of the Ukrainian people with the peoples of the world, it is necessary to take care of preserving the unique features of the Ukrainian language, realizing that language itself is a powerful symbol and an important sign of national identity.
