Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the requirements for the level of language training of students of the ‘New Ukrainian School’, which provides for the formation of a literate personality capable of consciously and correctly using language tools in written speech. Spelling skills are an important component of the language competence of primary school pupils, but primary school practice shows that there are some difficulties in the acquisition of spelling rules by 4th grade pupils. This indicates the need to update methodological approaches to teaching spelling and to search for effective pedagogical tools that are tailored to the age and psychological and pedagogical characteristics of primary school students. This master's thesis substantiates the feasibility of using interactive and game-based teaching methods as an effective means of developing spelling skills in fourth-grade students. The aim of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of methods for developing spelling skills in 4th grade students in Ukrainian language lessons using interactive and game-based learning The practical significance of the master's thesis lies in the development and implementation of a set of spelling exercises, game tasks and methodological recommendations for primary school teachers aimed at improving the spelling literacy of pupils and activating their learning activities. methods.
