Abstract

The qualification work is devoted to the study of the importance of visualization of educational information and the development of the design concept of a printed illustrated publication for children and teenagers about traffic rules. The study carried out a comprehensive analysis of the design features of children's educational publications and the historical development of educational traffic rules materials on the market. The theoretical and psychological aspects of children's perception of visual information are analyzed, the requirements for the manual as an educational publication are established, where the illustrations should contain simple analogies and mnemotechnical techniques to facilitate understanding of complex rules. The study substantiated the need for active development of students' cognitive interest through interactive elements and adaptation of design to their psychophysiological features, confirmed by the results of our own survey of the target audience. The concept of the publication for secondary school children from 8 to 15 years old has been developed using a modern graphic style and color coding of pages to facilitate navigation in it. Practical criteria are established complying with hygienic requirements for the design of children's educational publications. The final project is implemented in the format of an interactive guide to road signs with elements for posting, which ensures the transformation of the book into an effective tool for forming responsible behavior on the road.
