Abstract
In the master’s qualification thesis, a theoretical substantiation and practical implementation of the expert review of English language educational programs in a general secondary education institution are carried out. During the research, approaches to expert activity and the regulatory and legal framework for its implementation were analyzed; the essence, goals, and functions of the expert review of educational programs were defined. Special attention is paid to the analysis of international experience in the expert review of language programs, in particular to the provisions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which became the basis for the development of criteria and indicators for expert evaluation. In the practical part of the study, an expert review of an English language educational program was conducted according to the defined criteria; an expert analysis of its goals, structure, content, compliance with students’ age characteristics, and regulatory requirements was carried out. The essence of documentation support lies not only in the creation of a certain body of documents, but in the formation of a logical and interconnected system of managerial information that ensures the continuity of the educational process and the legal protection of its participants. Each document has a specific purpose, form, retention period, and legal force. Documentation covers both paper-based and electronic forms of record-keeping, which corresponds to modern trends in digitalization. An additional source of expert information was the results of internal monitoring of education quality, which made it possible to compare program requirements with the actual learning outcomes of students. Based on the results of the study, expert conclusions and recommendations were formulated, aimed at improving the English language educational program and enhancing the quality of language education.
