Abstract

This paper explores the significance of Byzantine art, iconography, and the cultural traditions of Eastern countries in the context of modern art education. It analyzes the role of the Byzantine Empire as a cultural and religious center, its influence on the visual tradition of Kyivan Rus, and the relevance of integrating iconographic studies into the curriculum of contemporary Ukrainian art institutions.
