The platform of ecological urbanism as an instrument to provide the balanced functioning of modern city are researched. Methodological fundamentals to study the ecological urbanism have been formed; the authors have given the definition of this concept and its basic elements. There has been carried out the evaluation how to implement single indexes of ecological urbanism into the management of modern city. In particular, some metric features of urban principles application were determined for single cities of Ukraine (Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Dnipro). The carried out estimation shows that there are fixed tendencies towards some indexes growing that form the favorable preconditions for ecological urbanism principles implementing into the policy of cities planning. Besides, the calculations resulted in the maximal value of the index of ecological urbanism converging at the capital (II = 2.32). Dnipro-city is ranked as the second. Also, the technique of experts survey has been used. In this technique, the index of ecological urbanism is located around 5.3 points. It is high enough, if we consider the fact that this platform is quite new for Ukrainian cities. These high points are fixed to show the project importance of ecological urbanism for post-war reconstruction of cities and war influence on the ecological urbanism arrangements. The system of actions was created to improve the ecological urbanism platform integrating into the schedule of modern cities functioning.
