Abstract

Different approaches to understanding the categories of “self-education”, “educational competence”, “self-educational competence” are analyzed. The features of self-educational activity of primary school teachers in the New Ukrainian School are revealed. The main conditions and directions of formation of self-educational activity of primary school teachers in postgraduate education are highlighted. The components of self-educational activity of primary school teachers are described. The results of a study on the development of professional competence of primary school teachers through self-education are presented, as well as recommendations for the effective organization of self-educational activities.
