Abstract
This bachelor’s qualification thesis presents the creation and development of the original interview-based podcast “Tudy i Nazad” (There and Back), dedicated to the experiences of Ukrainian forced migrants during the full-scale war that began in 2022. The project combines journalistic methods with personal engagement and demonstrate how digital tools can be effectively used to convey intimate and socially relevant stories. The theoretical section of the work explores the genre of the interview as a means of documenting personal experience in times of social instability and analyzes the podcast format as a medium that fosters trust, emotional support, and reflection. The thesis outlines the concept of the project, preparatory stages, communication with guests, technical production, publication process, and audience outreach via the YouTube platform. Particular attention is given to the podcast’s visual identity, music selection, video editing, and graphic elements, all of which contributed to a cohesive and recognizable media product. The paper also includes analytical data on viewership, audience engagement, feedback through comments, and subscription growth. These indicators allowed for conclusions about the relevance and impact of the content. “Tudy i Nazad” not only gives voice to Ukrainians abroad but also contributes to the formation of collective memory, preserves the emotional context of war, and deepens public understanding of the migrant experience. The project’s implementation proves that even an independently created media product can achieve professional quality, media influence, and public significance under conditions of limited resources.
