Abstract
The bachelor's thesis presents a comprehensive study of contemporary media practices in the context of a full-scale war against Ukraine, with a focus on the ways in which Ukrainian youth document, represent and rethink their own experiences through social networks. The central focus of the study is the creation and development of an original English-language Instagram media project designed to document the real-life experiences of young Ukrainians and to tell an international audience about various aspects of Ukrainian youth life during the war. The research delves into the analysis of the interaction between the personal narratives of young Ukrainians and the global information space, emphasizing the role of digital storytelling, visual communication, and the function of civic media in shaping new images of war witnesses, enhancing the country's image on the world stage, and attracting support from the international community in times of global crises. Particular attention is paid to methods of creating emotional storytelling content, working with the target audience, adapting the topic of the experience of living through war to Instagram formats, and preserving the authenticity of the voices of the heroes.
