Abstract

The paper provides a theoretical and analytical examination of the formation of a safe educational environment within the system of master’s degree training in the countries of the European Union. It is substantiated that in the context of globalization, social transformations, and the development of the knowledge society, a safe educational environment should be considered as a complex pedagogical category ensuring physical, psychological, social, academic, and digital security of all participants in the educational process. At the master’s level, it functions as a key pedagogical condition for the development of professional autonomy, research activity, and psychological resilience of students. The approaches of European and Ukrainian scholars to the interpretation of a safe educational environment are analyzed, along with the role of the European Education Area as a supersystem for ensuring quality and safety in higher education. The main contradictions in the development of master’s education that affect the safety of the educational environment are identified. The application of the EU countries classification made it possible to reveal common and specific trends in shaping a safe educational environment. It is proven that a safe educational environment acts as a system-forming factor of modern master’s education and an essential resource for personal and professional development of future specialists.
