Abstract

The article examines the relationship between teachers’ research activity and the implementation of innovations in the educational process. It substantiates that teachers’ research is an important factor in the modernization of contemporary education, as it facilitates the transition from reproductive models of teaching to creative and reflective approaches. The main stages of teachers’ research activity are analyzed, including problem identification, goal formulation, selection of research methods, analysis of results, and pedagogical reflection. The motivational factors that encourage teachers to engage in research activity are outlined, and the challenges accompanying the implementation of a research-based approach in the educational environment are identified. Particular attention is paid to the role of professional development courses in the formation of teachers’ research competence and the development of their professional expertise. Based on the analysis of a survey conducted among teachers, the key competencies necessary for the effective application of research methods in teaching are determined. It is concluded that there is a deterministic relationship between teachers’ research activity and the innovative potential of an educational institution.
