Анотація
The practical part of this research is based on a close reading of humorous and ironic fragments in the dialogue of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. In order to analyze the Ukrainian version in a consistent way, the material was first organized through a working taxonomy. Such a step is necessary because "humor in film" is not a single phenomenon: it appears as short situational jokes, as culture-based references, and as irony that depends on context or visual action. Without a clear classification, the evaluation of translation adequacy would remain subjective.
