Анотація
The bachelor's qualification thesis examines the functioning of the cosplay community as a component of contemporary Ukrainian popular culture and explores the role of social media in promoting creative practices. The study analyzes theoretical approaches to the understanding of popular culture, fan communities, and digital forms of cultural communication. Particular attention is paid to the development of the Ukrainian cosplay movement during wartime, its integration into the international cultural space, and the participation of Ukrainian cosplayers in international festivals and competitions. The practical part of the research includes a series of interviews with representatives of the Ukrainian cosplay community and related creative fields, including cosplayers, photographers, costume makers, wig makers, crafters, and festival organizers. Based on the obtained results, the Instagram media project “"Creativity Without Limits": A Bilingual Instagram Project Exploring Meaning in Uncertain Times” was developed and implemented. The project aims to highlight the activities of Ukrainian creative communities, promote their experience, and contribute to the positive representation of contemporary Ukrainian creative culture. The research confirms that cosplay is a multifaceted cultural phenomenon that combines creativity, self-expression, social communication, and professional development. It has been established that social media serve as an effective tool for promoting creative initiatives, expanding audiences, and facilitating the integration of Ukrainian artists into the international cultural environment.
