Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the understanding of physical education teachers of the role of forming psychological competence of students of secondary education institutions. The work examines the views of teachers on the importance of psychological support of schoolchildren in the process of physical education, the features of its implementation and the methods used in professional activities. The aim of the study was to find out the vision of physical education teachers of the role of psychological competence in the educational process. The main tasks were: to determine the role that is given to the issue of forming students' psychological competence; to analyze the methods of implementing psychological support; to identify the methods used by teachers; and to establish the aspects that teachers consider most important in working with students. The results obtained allow us to outline modern approaches to combining physical education and psychological support for students
