Abstract
Conditions and peculiarities of formation and development of historical education at Kiev Imperial University by St. Vladimir in the 30th – 80th of XIX century, the process of formation of historical – philological faculty, the development of Russian History teaching by scholars of Russian History Department, the authority policy as to education and science in Kiev University and moral atmosphere in it at that time in whole are researching and analyzing in the article.
