Abstract
A task to analyse the looks of scientists in relation to forming of abilities to read for first-class boys is put in the article. An analysis rotined that consideration of reading as a major mean of receipt of information which occupies a considerable place in life of modern well-educated man, helps it to live, allows to assert that reading is a «window in the world», by the base constituent of communicative and cognitive kompetentnostey, acquaintance of students with child's literature as art of word, preparation of them to the systematic study of course of literature at basic school.
