Abstract

The situation of being in danger of health and life has often been repeated in previous times. States have resorted to quarantine measures to prevent epidemic outbreaks. Another important tool used was vaccination, for example, against smallpox. Mortality from epidemics touched all segments of the population. The medicine of that time took the first measures, especially in the fight against infectious diseases. In order to avoid contact with patients, restrictions were imposed on communication with people from areas where cholera was spread.
