Abstract

The article considers the main approaches to the analysis of the essence of the concept of «storytelling as a method of critical thinking» and the use of this method in elementary school lessons. The concept of «storytelling» is analyzed, and the characteristic features and functional features of the use of storytelling in elementary school lessons are defined. Storytelling technology helps to achieve certain results during primary school education: enlivening the atmosphere in the classroom, relieving tension, and creating a relaxed atmosphere; students remember the rules better.
