The main focus of the article is devoted to the study of the problem of introducing STEM education into the educational process of primary school, since each new generation is different from the previous one, and therefore the methods and means of education must correspond to the development of science and technology, be relevant and modern, effective and interesting. Therefore, the possibilities of the modern lesson and the education system in general are significantly expanded thanks to the use of the latest technologies. To conduct the research, first of all, the current state of development of STEM education as an educational trend was analyzed. The question of STEM education as an innovative technology of the educational process is revealed, the advantages, state and prospects of its implementation in Ukraine are described. It has been investigated that the use of "Educational robotics", "Educational robotics", "Robotics in education" in Ukraine is increasingly gaining momentum as a trend. This is evidenced both by the increase in the number of publications on this topic in scientific publications, and by the conducting of an all-Ukrainian-level experiment on the topic "Methodical system of teaching the basics of technology and robotics as a component of STEM education" with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The article also examines the types and characterizes the means of STEM education. Since the rapid development of the field of robotics causes the need for the training of relevant qualified specialists, we conducted an experiment among primary school teachers to determine their professionalism in using STEM education tools in primary school lessons. In the course of the experiment, it was established that most often teachers still choose the most widespread and long-known tools for learning, but not the means of STEM education, because they are unfamiliar to them. Therefore, it is important to provide teachers with an informational space in which they can freely familiarize themselves with the most current innovations in educational robotics and confidently use them in their lessons.
