Abstract

The article reveals the role of academic integrity as a component of the phenomenon of professional training of future specialists in the field of arts in institutions of professional higher education at the current stage of modernization; the content of the concept of academic integrity regarding the formation of a competent and active student is considered. The European practice on the development of academic integrity in the formation of professional and ethical competence in future choreographers and musicians is considered as a guide for Ukraine to overcome such problems of academic dishonesty as buying theses, writing off, plagiarism. Academic integrity, defined as a high degree of honesty and ethics in the educational process, becomes an important component of the professional training of students of art majors. The modern stage of formation of professional advanced education determines the importance of values that guide students on the way to mastery in art. Academic integrity acts not only as a norm of behavior, but also as a mechanism for the formation of high standards and responsibility. Art students, adhering to the principles of academic integrity, not only demonstrate their dignity, but also uphold ethical standards in the artistic environment. Professional training in the field of arts requires not only technical skills, but also fine moral and ethical training. The modern world challenges artists not only to express themselves creatively, but also to be moral leaders who are responsible for their own creations and influencing public opinion. Academic integrity also interacts with the quality of education. Students who adhere to honest methods of studying and presenting their work contribute to an environment where learning becomes mutual assistance and exchange of ideas, rather than competition without an ethical framework. The article is devoted to the study of academic integrity among students of art majors at the current stage of their professional training. The authors examine the role of academic integrity in shaping the professional qualities of students and consider the relationship between ethical principles and quality training in the arts. The article analyzes the impact of modern trends in higher education on the development of academic integrity and highlights key challenges and prospects in this context.
