Abstract

Among the main psychological aspects of learning a foreign language, the following are considered the most important: motivation and interest in learning a language, active work of memory and thinking, ability to learn a language, the ratio of language and speech during learning, language barrier. The practical course of the Japanese language for beginners involves, in particular, the use of the textbook "Marugoto", the developers of which emphasize a number of important points, in particular, of a psychological nature. The textbook is designed in such a way as not to cause students to feel isolated from extra-linguistic reality. On the contrary, there is a maximum immersion of education seekers in life in Japan. The textbook prepares for the fact that you will have to communicate in Japanese not only with Japanese people, but also with citizens of other countries who come to Japan for the purpose of study, employment, etc., because the country is extremely attractive for foreigners. Also, "Marugoto" helps to establish contact with other people as soon as possible, to learn as much as possible about each other even in conditions of rather limited linguistic competence, to become friends, to avoid possible conflict situations. The authors of the textbook provide natural and methodologically sound dialogue models for serving such important communicative situations as taxi rides, telephone conversations and correspondence about trips and meetings, as well as joint attendance at various events, visiting Japanese friends and acquaintances, and many others. Such material undoubtedly helps to overcome psychological stress, because, as our teaching experience shows, after working through it, students feel much more confident and almost do not feel fear due to the fact that, probably, they will not be able to express themselves appropriately and be understood in public places, in transport , at work or study, in a circle of friends.
